Hi

Are Service Principals supported on PowerApps and Flow yet.?

I want to have a high privileged service Principal to access CDS and Environments just like Microsoft Power Platform service admin privilege for the Manuela Pilcher's Centre of Excellence package.

Thanks

Nigel

I have the same question (0)

They are with power automate flow, not with power apps

Here is how to do it with flow

this will use an application user and impersonate the running user of the flow

Hi @NigelP, can you clarify what you want to with SPNs? You can authenticate to CDS with a service principal. In CDS, it's known as "application user". Here are some documentation about it:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @EricRegnier

I mainly want to use Service Principals with SharePoint online, MS Forms, Outlook and Office 365 Users.

    Thanks

Cool, and that's the best practice approach as well. It is now supported with Flows Power Automate with connection references. More info: https://docs.microsoft.com/powerapps/maker/data-platform/create-connection-reference

    Hi

Has anyone got step by step instructions how to do this.

All of the examples which proport to show PowerAutomate flows are actually CDS !

I have created an APP registration with Flow permissions, I have created a sample flow, I have created an application user and associated the application user with the APP registration, but I cannot create PowerAutomate flow connections for SharePoint using Service Principal I created !  I do not get the option.

    A rather frustrated Nigel

You might want to try the SharePoint forums to get better support since you're using SharePoint: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint/ct-p/SharePoint

    Cheers
