Hello, everyone!

I have this database1:

NumberDescription
1-9023BODY,DUMP:BODY ASSY,XXXX
1-9023BODY,DUMP:CANOPY ASSY,XXXX

and I have this database2:

Sub NumberDescriptionGrup
1-9023-01BodyA
1-9023-01BodyB
1-9023-01-02CanopyA
1-9023-01-02CanopyB
1-9023-01-02CanopyC
1-8012-01CanopyA

I have two text input control in screen 1, which is filled with Number and Description from database1.

In screen 1, I have one text input control. I want that control will show a value from Description from database2 based on at least one word in Number and Description. Like this:

If in screen 1:
textinput1 = 1-9023

textinput2 = BODY,DUMP:BODY ASSY,XXXX

then I want in screen 2:

textinput3 = Canopy

How to do it? Thank you in advance.

    Hi @firda59 ,

Thanks for describing the problem, but we're still a bit vague about what you're trying to achieve. Based on your description, we guess that you want to fuzzy the datavase2 by TextInput and find the latest one.

Based on this assumption, we have created the data source like this.

    vhanytianmsft_1-1686897104366.png

We need to create two “TextInput” Control and remember these names.

    vhanytianmsft_2-1686897104368.png

Then Insert a Form into the second Screen.

And the Data and Item need to be filled in like this.

    vhanytianmsft_3-1686897104369.png

LookUp(Sort(Data2,Modified,SortOrder.Descending), TextInput5.Text in Descrption Or TextInput4.Text in 'Sub Number' ,ThisRecord)

    vhanytianmsft_4-1686897104372.png

From the Screenshots we will find that it worked! If we don't achieve the results you want, please do not hesitate to replay me, we will help you as soon as possible.

    Hope this will help you!

    Best Regards,

    Tina

    Hi @firda59 ,

    Glad to hear from you!

Based on the description of your latest issue, we can ignore this warning if the data source you are referencing is not very large.

However, if you are still considering improving the app, you can refer to the screenshot.

    vhanytianmsft_1-1686900999547.png

You can change the numeric value of this option to its maximum value of 2000.

    Hope this will help you!

    Best Regards,

    Tina

    Hello @v-hanytian-msft

by the way, when I try that formula, the value doesn't appear in my text input. I used excel file for database, is it affect to that formula?

    Hi @firda59 ,

    Glad to hear from you!

Based on your latest description, I rebuilt the data source and modified the Item property in the Form.

This is the new data source.

    vhanytianmsft_0-1686906445426.png

    vhanytianmsft_1-1686906445428.png

The Item property in the Form:

LookUp(Shuffle(Table2), TextInput5.Text in Description Or TextInput4.Text in 'Sub Number' ,ThisRecord)

    vhanytianmsft_2-1686906445430.png

Also you can fill in Text of DataCardValue  with:ThisItem.Decription to make sure it will show the correct field.

    Hope this will help you!

    Best Regards,

    Tina

    Hello @v-hanytian-msft

It still cant work. By the way, I just remember that canopy in description I got using formula. I grab that word from another sheet. I mean like this:

    =VLOOKUP([@[No Drawing]];Table1[[No Drawing]:[Sub Desc]];2;0)

is it affect to that formula?
