When building a custom size canvas app, why is there a height limit of 2160px for the size of the app? Is there any way around this?

The prompt says "should be". They needed to set a max on the settings of something.  But if you turn off the Scale to fit it doesn't matter what you set the custom size to be. For responsive it will scale as big as your screen.

It doesn't matter what the prompt says, the fact is it doesn't allow a height greater than 2160px. It also doesn't matter if you turn off Scale to Fit, it still doesn't allow you to enter a height greater than 2160px. Why can't I create a custom app with any dimensions that I want?

The custom size you enter is only used when working with Scale to Fit and there are very few monitors that have a pixel height of more than 2160.  But if you turn off Scale to fit you can have the screen grow to whatever size you want. It doesn't matter what you've entered.

I am not able to keep adding new content to an app indefinitely. There is a limit beyond which new containers or fields will not display on the screen, regardless of whether Scale to Fit is on or off.

What I am trying to do is build a canvas app for browser or tablet use that will be very long (perhaps 4000px high). The user would scroll vertically through the app, filling out fields and then clicking Submit at the bottom. Is this not possible? It appears the only way to build the form is to break it up into multiple screens.

Scrolling containers to whatever size you want isn't a problem.  I just built a Responsive app with a Vertical container whose Height is set to Parent.Height and Vertical Overflow is set to Scroll.  That container takes up the whole screen, which takes up the whole monitor.  Inside that container I added 8 standard containers all set to have a minimum height of 500px.   On each of those containers I turned off Flexible Height and set their minimum height to 500px.  Controls inside each container are  there and you can scroll through each container to the last one. So I'm not sure what the problem is.  I now have a scrollable app with 8,000px of containers.

I also tried setting the minimum height of one of those containers to 8,000px. It grows and the rest of the containers are still there to be scrolled to.

I can't seem to get something that works the way I want with scrolling. I just created a new app based on what you said in your previous message. I started with a blank canvas app. I set the display settings to Portrait orientation and 16:9 Default. I then added a Vertical Container to the default screen that is 100px from the top of the canvas and set Vertical Overflow to Scroll. I added three regular containers to the vertical container, each with a height of 500px and Flexible Height turned off.

When I try to preview this app in either tablet, phone, or desktop mode, the entire app will not display on the canvas and it will not scroll.

I exported my sample so you can see all the settings.  See if this works for you.

The example you provided displays as scrollable in the preview, but it isn't feasible to work this way, as not all of the containers are visible on the canvas while building the form.

Apparently, it is not realistic to do what I want in PowerApps. I will have to build a form with tabs instead.

If you use the ALT key you can scroll the containers while you are in the designer canvas to make them visible.
