Shared excel file in onedrive to be added into powerapps

I have a n excel sheet which was shared to me from another account in onedrive. So this excel sheet is accessible to me inside onedrive/shared section. I want to add this as a data source inside powerapps.

when i tried connecting using onedrive buissness connector, the shared files are not seen to be added, only those which are created from my account are seen.

What to do so that i can add the excel file which shared to me(I have edit access for this file as well, it's opening without any issue from inside of onedrive).

Thanks in advance for the help

Unfortunately, the Excel connector does not work with shared files at this time - the file itself needs to be in OneDrive folder you can directly access. The reason for this is likely because sharing links can expire or be password protected and the connector does not support that.

    Hope that helps,

No, as I pointed out earlier, the file must be present in the OneDrive account's folder and not merely shared with the account owner.

Microsoft recently changed the connectivity capability in OneDrive of an element called cross drive functionality (see #12 of this article). Essentially it means that only the owner of the OneDrive can utilise an Excel file stored there as a datasource for Power Apps. You need to move the Excel file to a SharePoint Library and share the Library (not just the file) with the relevant users.
