I am using a textinput field for searching and finding the ID of an item I want use.
In my formula I need to convert that field in number in my formula by using: Value(myTextinput.Text) = ID
But in the properties I can see for that textinput field the Format: number setting.
I thought with that setting I change the datatype of the input to number?
If it is only for formating the display text of that entry I cannot see any benefit of it?
Thanks for any explanation of sense if possible ;)
Format– Whether the user input is restricted to numbers only or can be any text. When set toNumber, only digits and certain numeric symbols can be entered. Supported symbols and formats depend on the browser language and cannot be set on individual controls.
