Custom Control (PCF Control) can't be seen in default CRM solution on managed instance

Hello Experts,

I have been trying to figure out one of the issues related to my Custom Control (PCF Control) where I can't find my PCF control under the Custom Controls in default CRM solution, but it can be found only in the managed solution where the PCF control resides. The same doesn't happen for a webresource (javascript, svg image etc), as these webresources are available in both the managed solution and default CRM solution in my managed CRM instance.

The other thing that I have noticed is that in the managed solution where my PCF control resides; the name, display name, type etc. these values are blank but it can be seen in the unmanaged CRM instance.

Please suggest what could be done to resolve the above 2 queries.

    Hi @ksohail ,

    I can confirm that

    • in the "default solution" the managed PCFs are not shown
    • in managed solutions the name of the PCFs are not shown

BUT, this happens only in the legacy customizing experience, the one we still have to use to customize the PCF controls on the form or views.  In the new customizing experience (maker portal), everything works as expected:

    • I see both managed and unmanaged PCFs in the default solution
    • I see the name of the control in the managed solutions

Since sooner or later the old customizing experience will go away, maybe this bugs are not that relevant. But this is only my opinion.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,

    Diana

    Hi Diana,

That makes sense. I checked the same thing in make.powerapps.com and I can see the PCF control in both my managed solution and default solution in my CRM managed instance.

But I wanted to know why it doesn't display in old customization? Is this a bug or what??
