I was building something with canvas based as an entry point which then has an option which needs to lead to the model-based app. Is there a way where a running canvas app switches to the model-based dashboard?

Do you want to switch to a Model-Driven app from an canvas app?

If you want to switch to a Model-Driven app from an canvas app, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.
