I've a Dataverse Table with 30+ choice columns (I have more, but 30 are of type choice). Each column represents a task. Those columns are synced with Global choice variable and default selection is 'Not Started'. See the column setting below

But in the PowerApp, no default is selected, eventhough property 'DefaultSelectedItem' is set to

Parent.Default

Please note, this is not a custom card. I've connected the form to the Dataverse table and added the field. I was expecting 'Not Started' will be populated by default, but it comes empty and I can not submit it without selecting from dropdown list.

I can leave it blank, make fields not mandatory and ask user to submit it. Dataverse will create this new row respecting default choice. However this might trick user as they don't know how backend works. They might find it necessary to select all 30 status as 'Not Started' plus this method is not intuitive as well.

Is there a way to automatically do this?
