powerApps is reformatting text fields as number

Hi,

I'm really new to this...

I've connecting my powerApps to an Excel sheet where a couple of the fields only have text values in them, but powerApps has defaulted them to number format.

It means that on my Edit screen, you can only input a number. I changed the format in Properties to Text which lets me enter a value, but then when I go back to the Browse gallery or the details page, it doesn't update the record. And then when I go back on the Edit screen, the text value I've input is gone.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @Tus87 ,

The Data card field type within Edit form is based on the field types in the Excel table.

Could you please check whether you have format the text column as text as the screenshot shows next?

I set them in the excel table,set the Number column as Number,the Text column as Text, and then test there is no the issue as yours.

What do you mean “when I go back on the Edit screen, the text value I've input is gone”?
