PowerApps storing credentials

Hi,

We have a shared device that is transferred between shifts. The device is setup with a shared mailbox for the device. We are  looking to deploy a new app in PowerApps that will require the user to login. The issue is that the credentials are being store in PowerApps and the next  shift user can just click on the user from  the earlier shift and login without entering a password.  We would be ok if it stored the username but the password is an issue.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Thanks

Lex

    try use the function Exit(true)

you can combine this with a timer to force this

The Developer of the app indicated that they already forces thee user to log off the app. The issue is when they go to log back in, they will see the previous user and be able to click on them and login without any password.

The developer is saying it's the iPhone storing the credentials. but that function is turned off. MS says that this is "as designed" but there has to be a way to prevent someone from logging into the app from a shared device.

I have confirmed with the Developer that this was set. The app will exit and log them out when they finish but when they go to log back in, the credentials are available in powerapps to use again.

Thanks but the issue is that the user is logging in and then the credentials are being stored by the powerapps app. We've never allowed anonymous users.

    Better explanation is this:
User opens powerapps app on the iPhone.

They are asked to sign in.

They sign in and are able to see the assigned app

They do the work in the app and when they are done, they save and this will automatically log them out and close the app

Next time they open the app, they will again be asked to sign in. This time they will see their credentials from earlier and be able to select them and be automatically logged into the app without entering their password.

When they hand the phone off to the next user, they will be able to login with the credentials from the earlier user.  This is all within the powerapp app.

    Hi @LexMcf :

I suggest you can design a simple login function for your APP:

1\Create a list to hold user information

2\Create a login screen for the user to enter a username and password

3\If the username and password entered by the user are stored in the user information table, then allow the user to navigate to other screens of the app, otherwise stay on the login screen

I have made a similar app before, maybe this post will help you:

Thanks but This is happening before the custom app. The prompt for credentials is happening when you open the app. Once in the app, you can the select the app the was created.

    Thanks

Has anyone found a workaround for this? This is a huge issue and prevents us from using PowerApps on a tablet in kiosk mode.
