How to add PCF component in Model Driven App

(0) ShareShare

I have created a PCF component with the name LinearComponent.

I have created the demo with respect to the below link,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TI61xfMgtQ

I have imported this component into the Canvas App. Now, i need to import that component into Model-Driven App.

Can anyone assist me with the same?

Thanks

    Hi @BJoshi ,

Then you have the PCF already installed in your environment, and only need to bind it to a field.

In the docs you find a tutorial for adding a PCF to model-driven apps: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/component-framework/add-custom-controls-to-a-field-or-entity?WT.mc_id=BA-MVP-5004107

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @DianaBirkelbach

I have tried that same way as you have suggested. But its not working for me.
Please let me know if you have any alternative idea for the same

    Thanks

    Hi @BJoshi ,

So your PCF is a number control: you should be able to find the control when you choose a numerical field on the form. Scroll down and look for TSLinearControl. If it's not there, please show us your manifest.

Actually it's very similar with the sample compoment you find in the sdk: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/component-framework/sample-controls/linear-input-control?WT.mc_id=BA-MVP-5004107

Maybe will give you some hints, if you compare the code with yours.

    Kind regards,

    Diana
