Change visible from Dynamics on Portal pages

Hi all,

For a project, I have the following requirement:

The user navigates to a page with an entity list on it
The user can click in a row on a button that triggers a workflow
The workflow updates the record status in Dynamics

We've managed to set this up as required. We do notice however that it takes up to 5 minutes to see the change on the Portal page, while it is immediatly visible in Dynamics.

Does anyone have an idea what the reason behind this migth be, and if there is something we can do about this?

Hi

is your workflow background or real-time workflow?

if it is background, you are probably facing a caching issue, where the data is updated asynchronously, and it can take up to 15min for the data to be refreshed in the Portals

when setting up as real-time/sync, the cache is automatically invalidated and you should see the most up to date data in your Portals

It's a background process. I just tested it out and indeed, with a real-time wf, the change is immediately visible.
