Gallery Next Arrow Summary with Button Full Details on Selected Record

Hello Gurus,

I need some assistance of how to navigate from a Gallery when the Next Arrow is selected brings up a summary of a customer of the same page and then when "Full Customer Details" button is selected, navigates to detailed page of that selected record.

I've managed the first part of the gallery to bring up summary:

NextArrow OnSelect = (Navigate(HomeScreen, None, {List : ThisIten})

However I haven't managed the second part of the next screen to align with current record selected to display full customer details - would greatly appreciate what steps I need to do to match existing record to display full details

You can implement the navigate function on the button to move to the next, along with navigate function you can use Set() function to assign the ID value to the variable. The end result will look like.

    Set(Variablename,Galleryname.selected.ID);Navigate(desiredscreenname)

On the next screen you can implement a form and on the items property you can implement a filter function where in you are filtering the items in the data source based on ID value that you have stored in the set variable.

With this you will be able to see the values based on the current record selection of gallery.

If this information helps you with resolution, please consider giving a thumbs up and mark the solution as resolved.

    Hi @RobHel ,

How do you display the details of the selected record in your second screen? Using Display form?

I assume that you add a Display form in your second screen to display the details of the selected item in your Gallery. Please set the DataSource property of the Display form to your data source. Then set the Item property of the Display form to following:

    Gallery1.Selected

Note: The Gallery1 represents the Gallery in your HomeScreen, please replace it with actual Gallery name in your app

set the OnSelect property of the "Full Customer Details" button to following:

    Navigate(SecondScreen)

In addition, you could also consider try the following workaround:

Set the OnSelect property of the "Full Customer Details" button to following:

    Navigate(SecondScreen, ScreenTransition.None, {SelectedItem: Gallery1.Selected})

within your second screen, set the Item property of the Display form to following:

    SelectedItem

Please take a try with above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

    Best regards,
