Premium licenses required for managed environment

Hello Everyone

We have en issue that customer wants unmanaged environment for production because of premium license requirement. Does anyone had the same issue and how did you overcome it? And if you chose unmanaged, could you still use pipelines?

Firstly, when you create environment in Power Platform - it can be of type sandbox, developer or production. This is the type of environment and for production purpose, you should choose Production type environment.

Secondly, for using Power Platform pipelines, you need your environment to be marked as Managed environment which is a suite of premium capabilities.

Lastly, for deploying solution in production environment, it should be a managed solution (this is different from managed environment).

Hi @Nata123,

Solutions (managed or unmanaged) do not by themselves required Premium licenses. However they may contain elements (Premium connectors on facilities/data sources) that require a Premium licence, hence the particular Solution it will require that licence (whether managed or unmanaged).
So the customer's requirment does not solve the apparent underlying issue. Regarding pipelines, yes, you can use these on either.
