Unsupported formula calling ThisItem.'Field' within a form

I have been using ThisItem.'Field' to evaluate conditions successfully within a form. However, I notice that the formula itself evaluates to the following in the formula bar:
= This formula uses scope, which is not presently supported for evaluation
So far, I have not encountered errors using it.
I also notice that the Default of the card in a form uses this formula, where it also carries this note of being "unsupported."

Is this a formula I need to be worried about? I can't think of another way to call the same information, but at the same time, don't want to have to rewrite formulas down the track...

Thoughts?

Its very possible that if you simply ctrl x it out and ctrl paste it back it might stop.

The error itself usually means that you are accessing the scope of a gallery or form outside of those components as they are the only ones that understand what ThisItem means but it does not seem like you are doing that. Make sure your form is in a default mode of something, make sure your item property is set also or i may not work, make sure your datasource is set also

if you aren't getting any error I wouldn't worry, but again you can try to even save your app CTRL X your form and paste it back
or reset your item property (clear it and put it back)

its weird but at run time you seem fine, so its more annoying than anythings as its an intellisense bug.\
If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.

    Thank you!

So long as the formula itself is "supported" even if IntelliSense labels it as "unsupported," I guess I'm happy. The designation "unsupported" has been there for a good long while in the Studio, but with the change to the new analysis engine, I didn't want to ignore something that might cause problems...
