Need to get data from an Excel spreadsheet.

Hi I am an Intern,
New to the Power Platform.

I need to get data from an Excel spreadsheet without the limitations of it needing to be in a table or a limit of 500(seems to not get more than 500 rows from my 700+ rows of test data.)

I don't need to be able to edit the data or insert more data into the Excel just need to read it into my App.
I am willing to incorporate flows if it will get the job done.
As an intern I need to find free ways to do this so I can't use paid connectors(etc)

Is this possible?

If it helps below is my ultimate goal:
I am working on a project to get data from an Excel spreadsheet generated by a service and the get data we've stored in our data Verse DB use the 2 sets of data in calculations and then pass the calculated(and some stored) values to a flow.

Thanks in advance.

hi @VR-Scott it sounds like the data can be static.

Create a table in excel with the data you need and give the table a name

Import the data to your powerapp

    Select your excel spreadsheet

Select your table you created in excel and connect

Now you have access to all rows

    Hope this helps

If you are not editing or entering new data into the excel, then you need to import the excel into power Apps.

So go to Datasource, then in the connectors search for excel import. After clicking the import search for the excel file.

You can import 15000 rows at a time.

Remember to format the data as a Table in your excel file

Thanks @rubin_boer  and @eka24 for your replies.
    I wasn't clear enough sorry.
Unfortunately although my app is not writing back into the Excel, the Excel would periodically(I think monthly) be updated with new data that my app would need to pull and use.
Is there a function that I can set to a button so a user can re-import the updated Excel data?

Ideally I would also like to avoid the need for a table as the Excel is generated by a program and would like to reduce the amount of work a person has to do(i.e. formatting as table.) I have looked a little into making a PowerAutomate flow to do that but it seems only the Desktop flows might be able to handle excel Spreadsheets not formatted as Tables not sure if that is the case though.

Thanks again for the replies and Sorry I wasn't more specific in my original post.

The process we stated still holds. What you need to do is to delete the old file every month and import the current file.

That is delete the old Excel Table connection and reimport the New excel table with Same Table Name since the old would have been deleted.

Sorry for the late reply @eka24. The problem is I need something that a user can interface with(without having to edit the app) without me having to do something once I give it to them.
Can the App have functions linked to buttons that does this or does someone have to edit the app(to delete and re-import the table) each month?

I have since been given a new project with higher priority so this is on the back burner for now.
I am considering (when I have time to dedicate to this) looking if I can use Power Automate to get the excel data and put it straight into a dataverse with Teams Table.

    Thanks for all the help.

You can also use this template Azure Function to pull data from any Excel sheet without the need for table formatting...
