Model Driven, view form: How to set a filter programmaticaly on opening a view form?

Hi, guys!

I'd like to set a filter programmaticaly on opening a view form.

For example. A user opens a view form and can see records filtered by his name or department, etc.

Then he can change that filter or not (if the filter is read only).

Is it possible?

If not is it possible with PCF?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Max77 ,

    One thing you can do is filter views by the current logged in user (or team).  http://vjcity.blogspot.com/2019/08/how-to-filtered-records-by-logged-in.html along with any fields related to that user (i.e. department etc.)

    @dpoggemann , thank you!

    Maybe you know... Is it possible to lock the user to change filter in a view form?

    @Max77

    It is not possible to disable the Edit Filters button for the users. If the requirement to restrict the access of the users to only see their own record or their business unit (department) records for information sensitivity (rather than the convenience of not showing irrelevant data), you should consider configuring the role-based security. (Create or edit a security role to manage access)

    Please try to go through this learning module if you're not familiar with security roles in Dataverse.
