Remove O365 Outlook Connector from PowerApps

I have spent months developing a PowerApp which has Flows connected to it and I have started sharing it with external users.  Some of the external users don't have O365 Outlook instead they use On-Premises so they cannot connect to my PowerApp as they cannot Allow the permissions.

I have since changed the Outlook connector to use the Flow Mail connector.  However the Office 365 Outlook connector still exists on the PowerApp.  I have tried to delete the Connector from PowerApps altogether but there are other PowerApps in the Tenant that rely on it.  I have also tried the solution at this link

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/PowerApps-Connections-will-not-delete-Allow-Don-t-Allow-keeps/m-p/441247/highlight/true#M130841

But I cannot Import the .ZIP file back into PowerApps I'm just getting the generic 'Something went wrong' message.

Is there another way to get rid of the Connector from the PowerApp? Surely this must be easier than having to edit the .json files.

When you start a PowerApp, it looks at the connections in the app that need validation or approval.  However, this "check" extends to any PowerAutomate Flows that your app might be using.  So, even if you move the connector usage from your app into your flow, PowerApps will still need to authenticate.

In your case, either consider another connector that does not require 365 authentication, or isolate your flow completely from the app.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Hi thanks for the reply.  That's what I have done, I have removed the O365 connector from the Power Automate and replaced then with the Mail connector.  The Flows that are connected to the PowerApp are triggered when a new record is added to the SP List that the PowerApp Forms are connected to.  There is no instance of O365 in the PowerApp that I can find, when I delete the O365 connector it comes back when I open the App again and it says that it is connected to 'Logic Flows' which I can't find.  There's currently no Power Automate solutions using O365 and I have deleted it from the Power Automate connectors.

So again, if there was an O365 connector in the flow and you removed it, you will also need to remove the flow from your App and then add it back in to refresh the flow signature with PowerApps.

Perfect I hadn't removed the Flow from the PowerApp and added it back in, everything works fine now thanks.

Yes, pretty much any changes you make to your flow need to have them removed from the app and added back in.  Mostly when the signature of the flow is changed.  In this case, the connectors is part of that signature.

    Glad it helped!

Could you please let me know how you used Mail Flow Connector for sending and receiving email from external users when you share PowerApps with them? I have also invested many months developing one app for both internal and external users which works fine with internal users but now when i share same app with external users I am getting error related to Office 365  Outlook connector. Is there any work around for same . Please suggest?
