Spell check for app accessed via Teams tab

Hi everyone

I've recently enabled the spell check feature for some text fields in a power app and this works fine if the app is accessed via the web.  However, this app is mainly accessed via a tab in a team in Microsoft Teams and when it is accessed this way the spell check doesn't seem to work.  Any incorrectly spelled words aren't underlined as they are in the web version.

Is this a big or is it just that the spell check feature only works when accessing the app via the web?  If this is the case does anyone know if this is a feature that is being planned?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi@gj84uw,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to confirm if the spell check feature works only when it accesses to the app via a browser?

In a word, Power Apps requests for spellchecking, but it is up to these browsers/platforms to implement them.

You can now enable the spell checker in all browsers on the Text input and Rich-text editor controls. Simply set the EnableSpellCheck property to true to have your browser's spell check enabled in your app. Simply set it to true, and you'll have spell-checking in all browsers, including mobile.

As for if this feature can work on stand-alone PowerApps, currently, it has not been planned.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

    Best Regards,

For anyone else interested in this I've created an idea so if you want to vote for it that would be great:
