Power app retrieve data back to app for specific users

Good Evening

I have created an application that captures beginning, interim, final data specific to a user

each of the sections is built into separate screens

screen one = opening details form

screen two = interim details form

screen three = final details form

user is meant to complete the opening then save in the next quarter open interim complete and save but still be able to see what was captured in the opening stage then save and close in the final quarter open the app see opening, interim stages data complete final stage save and close.

Challenge = in testing this works i am able to complete the stages and demo it successfully, however when the end user tries it they do not get the same outcome the data does reflect back to the sharepoint list but is not opening the data when the app is closed.

    Can you clarify your last sentence:

    "the data does reflect back to the sharepoint list but is not opening the data when the app is closed"

    Hi what I mean is that the app uses SP as its data source there is an underlying list that data writes back to.

    I think I need to deep link the application somehow so that the users get an email with the link to the app once the opening stage has been completed and they can use that link to continue to the interim stage. Not sure if this will work am trying to understand deep linking first.

    Evening ok so i put together another two screens quickly

    one is a gallery displaying all the data saved in SP = works data is there

    Two is a screen with a display form on it using the gallery1.selected in item i can see the record clicked on

    from the gallery.

    Now my question is how  i could take components from the display form and apply it to the app parts

    i have already, and by applying these parts will it change according to the user logged in?

    I am not following so well only because I am not that familiar with your design concept.

    Do you *have* a need for generating emails and all of that?  If not, I would not waste my time on it.

    But that begs the question then...how is it that a record is selected for use in the form?  There has to be some starting point.

    @RandyHayes

    I am basically trying to achieve the same thing in my as what was listed in this link

    only difference i have multiple forms that need to populate data from previous submissions

    @CHEESEBOI83

    That scenario in the post is seemingly much different than what you are doing.  That was more for duplicating submitted data into a new form/record.

    In your case it seems that time would transpire between the first submit and when another person goes back to do more on it.

    In that case, there is nothing you need to really worry about other than just getting the appropriate record for your form.  That is why I am asking...how does this start?  What is your process flow?

    If a user starts a record today, how do you anticipate they (or someone else) would resume that at another time?
