Add Canvas App to Teams

Hi,

I just want to add my Power App to Teams, but after Teams opens, there is an error that says the app was not found.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

It would be great to get help with this :)

The "app not found" error could be caused by a few different things.

First, double-check that both your Power App and Microsoft Teams are part of the same Microsoft 365 tenant—apps won’t show up if they’re in different tenants. Also, make sure that the Allow uploading custom apps setting is turned on. You can find this in the Teams admin center under Teams apps > Setup policies.

If everything is set correctly on the Teams side, try adding the app again from Power Apps. Go to your list of apps, click the ellipsis (...), and choose Share > Add to Teams, then follow the steps to complete the process. Hopefully, that gets things working!

Hi,

thanks for your response. Unfortunately these steps did not help. Still the same error :(

Please navigate to Teams Admin Center, and under Manage Apps, search for Shared Power Apps. Then, navigate to the Users and Groups section, click on Edit availability, and make the app available to everyone. This should resolve the issue.

Please check with this method

1. Enable Custom App Upload in Teams

Go to Teams Admin Center → Teams apps → Setup policies and make sure:

Upload custom apps is enabled

After enabling, wait a few minutes for the policy to apply.

2. Re-add the App to Teams

From Power Apps:

Go to Apps

Click … (ellipsis) on your app

Select Share → Add to Teams

Complete the setup again

3. Verify App Permissions

Make sure the app is shared with the intended users or groups.
If a user doesn’t have access, they will see the “App not found” error.

4. Check Environment Access

If the app is in a non-default environment:

Ensure users have access to that environment

Verify proper permissions are assigned
