Change Choice Binding

Hi All,

Created new tables with choice option columns, linked them to the existing choices that existed throughout the app, no problem.

Requirements have now change and require a 3rd option ONLY on the new fields. Is there a way to change which choice list the field is bound to without having to recreate the fields in the table?

@Lambey331 - it is difficult to understand your problem because of the limited information you have provided.

    1. What is your data source?
    2. Are you using an Edit Form control?
    3. If using an Edit Form, are you trying to change the choice options in a data card, and repoint them to a different set of choice options from a choice field in your table?

Hi, so my data source is a table I've created alongside part of the solution, along with a 'Choice' created in the solution.
I've bound the column in the table to the choice and can't change which choice the column is looking at.

An alternative option I have is: On my form the field is represented as a combobox, containing the two items in the choice list. When they select an option, I patch the table to update the field.

If I cannot rebind my field to look at another choice list, can I wipe the existing value if the option is de-selected. (E.g. if they choose 'Yes' on the combobox and de-select it, can I erase it on the table column)

@Lambey331 sorry I am not understanding the problem. Could you answer my first and last question?

    1. What is your data source? (SharePoint? Dataverse?)
    2. If using an Edit Form, are you trying to change the choice options in a data card, and repoint them to a different set of choice options from a choice field in your table?
