"No Description Provided" after publishing the power apps

I have a canvas application, where i always add the version number inside the Description field before publishing the app, as follow:-

but today when i published the app, the published version of the app, will show "No Description Provided" inside the info icon, instead of showing the version number"v.96" in my case, any advice?

Did you try republishing the app and it is no longer showing anything in the description field?

Hi!

Description should be used to describe what the App does - this helps with accessibility and user adoption. I understand your reasoning for adding versioning to the description, but have you considered alternative methods of enforcing app versioning for users? The approach I created for that blog makes it impossible for someone to load the incorrect version of your app and gives you a way to take an app down for maintenance.

In terms of your specific error - are you sure the version you are seeing has not been cached from before? Could you also check version history to see if the publish indications give you some idea of how this happened:

Hi,

I tried to replicate the above issue, and noticed the following things

after Publishing the app, the updated description takes around 1 minute or so to reflect in the published app.

also points to note, if you have the older version of the app open in the browser and are trying to check description immediately after publishing, then it won't show up.

please relaunch the app and freshly and please check if you get the notification that new app is available with refresh button.

this will make sure that the description is eventually visible to you in the app.

Kindly please follow these steps and confirm if it has worked for you, else we may have to see what is causing you to get this issue and we are not able to replicate this.
