Dataverse Search - Email Table

Hi All,

I have a model-driven App that interacts with the standard Email table in Dataverse.

I have a requirement to search the body of the emails in that table, the column name is Description.

Dataverse Search is enabled (and has been for many days), the Description column has been added to the QuickFind view (and published). The Column has the 'Searchable' property set to true.

When searching from the top search bar (as shown) for known content in the Description field there are no results.

I do get results when searching for content in the 'subject' field so search is working for that column.

 

Any thoughts what could be missing?

    Replying to my own post as I actually worked out what I did wrong... maybe useful to somebody one day!

     

    When adding the Column to the QuickFind view I simply added the Column (to the Grid)... that of course is incorrect as it simply displays the Column in the search results, it doesn't actually search it!

    The correct way is to use the 'Find by...' section and add the Column there:

    Now it works 😁
