update environment variables in UAT using DevOps pipeline

How to properly update environment variables in UAT using DevOps pipeline?

I’m deploying a Power Platform solution from Dev to UAT using Azure DevOps pipelines, and I need to update the values of certain environment variables in the UAT environment.

I’ve read that manually updating them in UAT is not recommended, so I want to include this as part of the deployment pipeline.

🔹 The problem is that the “Set Environment Variable Value” task is missing from the list of available tasks in my DevOps environment.

🔹 I’m using Power Platform Build Tools

Thanks in advance for your help!

if you create "Environment variables" in your solution in DEV and you deploy this solution to your UAT environment, the pipeline will ask you for the values in your UAT environment.

Thanks, In my understanding, this applies when exporting and importing the solution manually through the Power Platform UI. However, it works differently when using a DevOps pipeline.

Correct I was assuming you use the UI.

For CLI, you should update the deployment setting file
