Are there any plans to add more functionality to the PowerShell modules? There have not been any updates in many months and there are many things that cannot be done with the current version

I guess we have different definitions of 'recently'. According to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/powerapps-powershell#version-history the last updates were in May (4 months ago) and they are still in Preview status.
On https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform-release-plan/2019wave2/microsoft-powerapps/cmdlets-admins we are told that there will be some more cmdlets release next month, can you provide any details abou what those environmenetal life cycle management features will include?

In 2019 Wave2 update, some cmdlets which have been public preview since May 21, 2018 will be general available in October 2019.
Although the doc says that three additional features will also be available, sorry for that there is no documents or blogs about them.
Let's wait for the Wave 2 update in October and experience the new features
