thumbnail.css is taking too long to load.

my site is very slow and when I checked the browser network monitor tool, I noticed that this file "thumbnail.css" is heavy and taking a long to load. I don't understand the purpose of this file.

can you please tell me the use of this file and if I delete will that affect my site?

The file “thumbnail.css” is a custom CSS file that you or someone else may have uploaded to your site to change the appearance of some elements, such as thumbnails. You can manage your custom CSS files in the Styling workspace of Power Pages.
If you delete this file, it may affect the look and feel of your site, depending on what styles it contains. You can preview the changes before deleting the file by disabling it in the Manage CSS panel.
You can also edit the file to reduce its size or optimize its performance using Visual Studio Code for the Web.

I'm encountering a similar situation with our enterprise portal. I'm curious about the origin of a particular file. Upon inspecting the attachment to understand its contents, I noticed it contains nearly the entire content of the header and homepage from 8 months ago, along with additional elements. The file is notably large, impacting the loading speed of our pages.

Considering this, would it be advisable to remove this file, especially if its contents are not essential for our current needs?

@mandela the thumbnail.css is not a custom CSS file. we are experiencing this issue as well.

Observation: when a sync is made in the power pages design studio it creates a snapshot of the current page and saves the DOM structure into that thumbnail.css file. Additionally, it also creates empty web templates. We are currently monitoring changes that may have caused the creation of these files and eventually open a ticket with MSFT.

We are facing the exact same issue since this morning. We have raised a ticket with Microsoft Support. Every sync creates a duplicate thumbnail.css in Web files and blank web template records as well -

Temporarily, I created a scheduled flow (every 1 minute) to set those thumbnails.css files to inactive and also remove the website lookup field by setting it to "null" so they don't get loaded with the other CSS files into the page head section. The empty web templates are being removed. We will open a ticket with MSFT tomorrow (EST) and share any feedback we get.
