How to set hint text in dropdown?

Hi,

I use 2 Dropdowns in my PowerApps and I would like to set the hint text "Please choose some value" example in the picture below.

FYI: I connected Item in the dropdown with the SharePoint list and I try to add the value "please choose some value" in the list but isn't working, Please help.

There is no hint text for dropdown. What I would recommend is set a text label behind it and have the fill of the dropdown be lik 70% opacity so you can see it. then set the visibility of that label to be based upon isblank() of the dropdown

Glad you found this, and that it helped!

From the small amount of testing I have done with it ChatGPT seems to only have a very basic understanding of PowerFX code structure. Possible its dataset was trained from a build few years back or something. I could sometimes correct the code it provided in my tests to make a working snippet, but for the most part it just would not yet be worth my time to use, can do it by hand much faster than trying to correct all the errors at this point in my career.
