Adding a general Copilot in an agent

I have created a dedicated agent for my use case. It is currently set to classic as we want the agent to stick to the Knowledge sources we are providing and stay within the topic flows which we created. Now, I'm considering to add a topic where it will be able to entertain the general queries, which will run into loop until the user says to get out of it. Could you please help me determine how can I achieve this ?

Please give more details of your issue or query,

do you need the ability to call a secondary bot within your main bot? You could use a Skill or Omnichannel and have 2 bots in the same queue..

Do you need to loop people in same Bot/Topic if not then what to do? Consider an escalation topic for that e.g. Prompt "Talk with somebody/supervisor/whatnot" There is a system topic that escalates conversations to live agents.

Now there is not a loop action within Copilot, but you can mimic it as follow

You at the end of your flow ask a question "Would you like to know something else?" if yes there is an Action called "Go to step" select it and then select the start of this topic (or wherever place you want) else your conversation will end, or you can escalate to live agents

I have an Agent in use which works depending on the flows defined by the topics and let it restrict to navigate within the topics. Now, I was thinking if I can insert an option in my main adaptive card topic, say "General AI Assistant", which will be capable of answering any sort of questions from user, like we generally do with basic Copilot.

The idea is not to use the basic Copilot but integrate it within the Agent which we already have. By looping, I mean that the conversation should go on as we generally see in Copilot/ChatGPT.

Calling a secondary bot sounds interesting, could you please point me to some links for Skill or Omnichannel ? I looked into it, it seems to be establishing a connection between two bots. My first approach would be to explore within Copilot, if we can get it done.

Thanks for giving the looping suggestion with "Go to step" option.

There is no relation between mode classic/gen ai and using general/public knowledge : it s just a button to activate or not in your home page :)

about making a loop.

You have multiple way :
Test result and send to a designed topic, etc
Test result and use "go to step"

and the cool way :D use the new loop feature ;)

It's in preview in public preview copilot studio environnement if you wana try yourself, or wait a little to come.

you have a last option but least reliable, ask in the prompt.

Thanks Romain for the loop suggestion. I got that part.

I'm still stuck on how I can add/call a general Copilot like behavior in my Copilot Agent. I wish this to be capable of answering simple queries like "does helicopter fly?", in addition to what it has been designed to do.

I assume you want to use generative ai in classic agent.

If so, you can use Generative answers, it will be able use generative ai based on your knowledge.

@UD-19051121-0 if you want general knowledge answer is it to have checked the box on the home page of the agent to allow general knowledge, it will use it to answer about "Does dog fly ? :) you could also enable / disable it in the action generative answer
