Agent links in SharePoint not pointing to custom agents

Good morning,

We recently noticed that the agents links in SharePoint do not work. Instead of opening the custom agent, when user clicks on an agent link the standard site agent is opened. That was not the case couple of days ago, and users were able to open up the custom agents by just clicking on the agent link.

We are using PAYG licence covering the use of the agents and never had such issue before - everything was working fine last week.

Does anyone have such experience?
Any suggestions how I could address that issue?

Many thanks

We are experiencing exactly the same issue. Regardless of which agent is selected in the link, it now redirects to the agent configured as the default agent for the SharePoint site. This issue did not occur previously.

    Hi,

We were not able to find any solution to the above issue. But we have come up with a workaround which includes adding a Quick link pointing to the specified agent instead. This just opens a new tab with the agent window.

We can reproduce this in our tenant: clicking different SharePoint agent links always opens the site default agent instead of the selected agent. This appears to be a platform regression and matches the behavior described in this thread. Could a Community Manager please Flag for Help to Microsoft so it reaches the product team?

Will we be notified when the fix is implemented for this issue? Because it is also a blocker in designing a Site Page appropriately.

    Thank you.

I was able to restore the correct functionality with these steps:

In the copilot agent's application registration, go to API Permissions in the Manage section
    Click Add Permission
In the side panel, click the APIs my organization uses tab
Search for "Power Platform API" or use the GUID 8578e004-a5c6-46e7-913e-12f58912df4
Delegated permissions, expand CopilotStudio and check:
    CopilotStudio.Copilots.InvokeClick Add Permissions
    Now they work again!
