Hello,

Is there a max limit on app development in an environment? does Microsoft recommends to have one app per environment?

Hi @MN-29081408-0,

Firstly, there is no technical limit on the number of apps in an environment. However, as the number grows, management may become more difficult, so like folders for files, apps can be segmented across environments. Different environments also make security an easier task and segmenting Development/Test/Prod is always a good idea.

Just to add a point to what @WarrenBelz said.

Development environment, leverage space allocated to your Default Environment Space. So, as @WarrenBelz management starts being silly, but also, the more you do, the more space you start taking up, you will end up having to purchase more space in your all up default environment.

To answer though, no, 1 app per environment would not be the case at all. So if you are simply asking should you "Dev" 1 app per Development environment, no don't do that. and it would take a lot to become a problem, unless you keep adding Demo (Platform) apps and sample data, it can fill up much faster and be a problem.

Imagine thinking i'll upload 1 million records into Dataverse to do dev on... Don't

but @WarrenBelz answered you, I was merely adding a little context on the space.
