Splitting a string not working

I have a returned value from a Power Automate Flow. I am trying to split into First name and last name.

Here's code:

So, it works for last name, but doesn't work for first name even though they are pretty much the same logic?

What am I missing here?  There's no errors.  In the screen capture above you can see returned name "Paul Genuario" and Last name "Genuario", but First name is blank?

Thanks,

Terry

    Hello @Mattw112IG

Actually I believe its pretty simple lol and I only say that cause usually im blind hehe

But in your picture.. there is a Space before the first name.. so the FIRST will return that space "" aka empty.

    woot for my new glasses.

    Cheers

In your screen shot, ReturnedName starts with a space: "Paul Genuario". If you can't remove the space upstream, just use a trim to get rid of the leading (or trailing) space: split(trim(returnedname)," ")
