Add a screenshot of a completed screen to an attachment control

Hi Experts,

I have a summary page on my app that shows all of the completed fields and what information the user has inputted so that they can review their information to ensure it's correct. On the next screen I have an attachment control (named AttachmentControl) with a collection (named colImages). What i'm wanting is that on the summary screen, when the user presses the Next Page button, it takes a screenshot of the summary screen (screen is named Summary) and adds the image to the colImages collection. I've got a submit button that emails the information and attachments so having it as part of that collection will send the screenshot to where it needs to go.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

You can achieve it using a PCF control, for more info please refer to https://www.agarwalritika.com/post/pcf-to-directly-email-a-screenshot-from-a-canvas-app

The link is a step-by-step how to configure and use a PCF control to take a screenshot and send it in an email but you can use it as a guide.

    Any question let me know

    I hope it helps 🙂

    Hi @victorcp ,

Thanks for your reply, i've downloaded it from Github and set the Framework setting to On but how do I get the component added to my environment so that when I import and click on Code, it shows up?

    Regards

    Hi,

first you need to download the managed solution zip file

    victorcp_0-1666860055417.png

then go to powerapps/powerautomate > select solution > import solution > Browse > import

    victorcp_1-1666860105911.png

wait until the message "imported successfully" appears

now go back to your app and select custom > code if the component is not listed click on refresh

    I hope it helps 🙂
