Hide Datacard when field is empty

Hi! Newbie here,

I have a data card showing a link to a project library (see the area circled in red below).

It works well but not all projects have a link assigned and it creates confusion when somebody clicks a link that doesn't work.  I would like users to see the link option only if there's a link.

How can I add a command to hide the data card ONLY when the field is empty (without a link)?

Thanks!

In the Visible property of your datacard, you can enter:

    !IsBlank(YourDataCardValueName.Text)

    Thanks Amik,

I tried it but it says: 'Text' isn't recognizable, so I changed it to:

    !IsBlank(DataCardValue.HtmlText)

and it accepted the formula, but when I tested it, I could still see the link option for empty fields.

    Her Amik!

Thanks for your help, I Found the solution!

I left the Datacard as it was, 'True' in the Visible property.

And I added the formula below to the parent card, and it worked!

    !IsBlank(ThisItem.Library)

Your "solution" is the same solution I already gave at the beginning but, glad you got it sorted.

    Amik,

I am very thankful for your help and guidance, without it, I would still be struggling with the visible link.

    Thank you

Hi @_AwA_ - I think you misunderstood what a DataCard is. A DataCard is a container on an Edit Form which contains other controls. A DataCard is therefore the "parent" of the DataCardValue.

In any case, if the issue is solved it is courteous to mark the answer as the solution. You could also mark you own answer as the solution in addition to mine.
