Approval flow email view not change after approval.

we are facing problem when going to approval request on email some time the view of approval request are showing like this

when i m going to approve this request i m redirecting to another link says successfully approved but email view not changing due to this i am confused after couple of approval what i have approved the request and the pending request.

Hi Mateenkhan,

Thanks for feedback.

I created a simple flow to send an approval email when an item is created. When I created an item to run the flow, I found that I got the same issue with you.

After clicking the Approve/Reject button, the button doesn’t become grey or disabled. So it would confuse us whether the request has been approved or is still pending on request.

I am going to report this issue on my side and involve someone who is familiar with this issue to look into it.

This is currently by design – the O365 Approval Mail uses unauthenticated links to process approve / deny (and the approval interface is included in the email body only). When the user approves (or denies) the request, we cannot update the email body unfortunately.

However, just last week, we released the Modern Approvals feature: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introducing-modern-approvals/

This enables a rich approval UX, that will show only requests that have not yet been approved, as well as offering the ability to provide comments about the approval request:

please help....!!! some approval emails are approved on the email surface and changing the status properly but most of the approval emails are redirecting to other link after clicking on Approve/Reject option and showing your request has been successfully Approved/Rejected but email still showing like i have not taken any action yet.

Sorry for the confusion - unfortunately, the content inside of an Approval email cannot be updated after the approval completes (either approved or denied). That is because the content of the email is generated when the flow runs, and cannot dynamically change inside of the mailbox.

With the new Modern Approvals experience, the approval state is stored in the Approval Center. As a result, whenever the user clicks the link inside of the email, it will bring them to the approval center where they will no longer see the approval request if it were already completed.

When doing approvals with Flow, we now recommend the use of Modern Approvals wherever possible. Hope that helps!
