Unable to Save Command Bar Component Library (App_DefaultCommandLibrary)

Here's my story:

  1. Created model-driven app with CustomTable
  2. Added custom command bar Button1 for CustomTable
  3. Everything works.
  4. Added IntegerColumn to CustomTable
  5. Add custom command bar Button2 for CustomTable to Patch() the IntegerColumn
    1. Error -- Unable to find "IntegerColumn"
  6. I opened the Command Bar Components Library to Refresh Data > CustomTable > Save & Publish
  7. Components Library interface says that it saves, but version history shows that it does NOT save or publish.
  8. Button2 will not work without refreshing the Data source, but nothing I do in the Command Bar Components Library will save or publish.
  9. I am now completely stuck. Please help. What should I do?

PowerApps Canvas App will not save/publish a new version unless you actually make changes in the app - just refreshing the data would not work.

Have you tried finding Button2 in the Component Library, and just change the expression a bit, cut/paste the code etc? Once you trigger some changes, it should save and publish no problem.

I solved this issue by restoring to a previous version. I did this by opening the Solution, finding the component library, then selecting Details > Versions of the command bar component library and restoring it to a previous version where the notes did NOT say "Saved by Command designer". I had to recreate some old work, but everything is working now without issue.
