Why is "Is Recursive Fetch" no longer available for filtering?!?

Hello,

I have a subgrid view that should populate just the documents within the direct folder (otherwise a throttling error will occur based on 5,000+ items).  This has been working with over 5,000 items for at least a couple years, but recently returns a throttling error.  Upon investigation, I see an error that the filter on the isrecursivefetch shows as no longer available:

It also does not populate as an option any longer to add as a filter:

I then opened the SharePoint Documentation this subgrid references.  It is a standard table from Microsoft with no customizations:

This table does contain a column for Is Recursive Fetch and it is not editable.

Does anyone know how this could have been removed from the system and how to add it back as a filtering option again?  Any other work arounds to filter by another field that would return just the indicated folder in a subgrid view would also be welcome.  Thank you!

The issue was resolved after a few sessions with Microsoft's support team.  There were able to change the filter from a 0 to 1 in the code to remediate.
