Spreadsheet for simulating/calculating licensing scenarios anyone?

There are now several different ways of paying for licenses for Power Apps. Therefore we need to simulate how much we thing we will use and what it will cost using different prising models to see what will be most cost effective. This could be done in a spreadsheet. Have any of you done this before? These are the types of licenses to choose, but we dont't know what to choose without making some calculations/simulations:
-Pay as you go
-CSP
-Enterprise

Anyone? 🙂

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Doffe83 ,

Yes we do calculate it in excel based on the power apps plan we need , no of full users and no of read only users.

CSP Pricing is not fixed. It purely depends on the discount offered by Microsoft based on the partnership you hold with them and other buying decisions. This is normally cheaper than pay as you go.

The following Power Apps licensing changes are into effect on October 1, 2021:

    • The Power Apps per user plan will be priced at $20 per user/month, a decrease from the previous price of $40 per user/month. The plan will be available across Microsoft’s commerce channels – Volume Licensing (VL), Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) and web direct – without license minimums or other purchase requirements. Plan entitlements remain unchanged, including the ability for users to run unlimited apps and portals.
    • The Power Apps per app plan will be priced at $5 per user/app/month, a decrease from the previous price of $10 per user/app/month. Like the per user plan, the per app plan will also be available across the same commerce channels without license minimums or other purchase requirements.

Hi, thanks for sharing.  What I'm looking for is some spreadsheet or "calculator" for estimating total cost of Power Apps lisencing using "pay-as-you-go" versus the "ordinary" pricing (per user/plan).  If you or anyone elske have one - or a screenshot of one - I'd love to see it 🙂

I see this question is quite old, but maybe someone will still benefit: Power Apps License Calculator (Sample Solution Gallery) - Microsoft Adoption

Not a spreadsheet, but the next best thing 😉 A Canvas Component that you can easily embed in your own app. Configurable in case you have Volume licensing
