If I get a barcode like 23456 I need to know 2 is in first number 3 is the second number and 4 is the fourth number 5 is the fifth number and 6 is the sixth number

some barcodes are 100 Characters and only uses the characters requested example start at 20 and length of 15. These request will change every time.

Simply use Mid() function:

Mid(string, start, count)

Where:
string is the original string.
start is the starting index of the substring.
count is the number of characters to include in the substring.
