Duplicate autonumbers

My one table in Dataverse is creating duplicate autonumbers. All of a sudden. 

I have a key defined that should have prevented that, but it didn't. 

How do I fix this?

    can you verify that the key is still active?

    unless the key is not active, it should not happen

    No, it was still at 1000 as when I created the column. I have however changed that now and hope it will work from this point forward.
