Date Format issues upon Sharepoint embed

I've embedded a PowerApp in a SharePoint site, connected to SharePoint lists at the backend. The SharePoint site is set to the UK region, and the dates on the lists are in the UK format dd/MM/yyyy. When I view the app in the app maker the date formats are in the UK format, however when I view the app on the SharePoint site the dates are displaying incorrectly as MM/dd/yyyy.

Is there some setting I'm overlooking that would be responsible for this?

    1. Go to the root of your site collection
    2. Gear Icon > Site Settings
    3. Click on Regional Settings under Site AdministrationAJ_Z_0-1639587992823.png

    4. Under Region, click on Locale drop-downAJ_Z_1-1639587992834.png

    5. Change to your locale/countryAJ_Z_2-1639587992841.png

    Hi,

this is a very frustrating issue. Even changing the regional setting on the SP site does not change anything.

The dates are correctly formatted on the app as wanted: did/MM/yyyy but when embedding to a SP site it reverts to MM/dd/yyyy.

Hope someone can assist with this.

This is an old one, but I am having exactly the same issue in 2022. The date in a calendar picker remains US standard.

I changed it in the SharePoint site regional settings, I set the calendar picker to 'Local' then 'UTC' then 'en-GB' and nothing changes it to a European/UK date format. This is very frustrating.

Any further advice would be most appreciated.

Having exactly the same problem. PowerApp has correct date format dd/MM/YYYY, Sharepoint Site has correct date format dd/MM/YYYY. App embedded in Sharepoint site reverts to MM/dd/YYYY.

I had this problem today. It would be really great if Microsoft would fix this. I am surprised that such big bugs are present in such a big, frequently used product all over the world.

It is the 11th of May 2023 and I am having same issue.

Really frustrating getting the remote team to work on the file.

Yup - same issue here in New Zealand..would love a solution suggestion ASAP. Regional site setting = English (New Zealand) date formats in all embedded PowerBI reports now showing US. Changed pretty recently as never previously a problem.

Just to add that this appears to be a known issue, and as it's been around for over 18 months I wouldn't expect a quick fix.

The "Embed a report web part in SharePoint Online" page [Embed a report web part in SharePoint Online - Power BI | Microsoft Learn] has a section of known issues and limitations that states:

Power BI doesn't support the same localized languages that SharePoint Online does. As a result, you might not see proper localization within the embedded report.
