Deploying a custom view without also deploying the underlying table - possible?

For example say I wanted to create a custom View on the systemusers table, include it in a solution, and deploy that solution with my custom view and model driven app via Pipelines to production.

is there any way to do this WITHOUT also having to include the User table in my solution?

Yes that's definitely possible.

1. Create a new solution

2. CLick on add existing Table -> Select your table-> Next

3.Click on Select Objects

4. Then Click on the Views Tab and then select the View you want to add

This will export only that specific view without the other metadata.

Yes, you can create a custom view on the systemusers table and include it in a solution without including the entire systemusers table (this is a best practice). Here's how you can achieve this:
Create a new solution or use an existing one.
Add the systemusers table to the solution, but do not include all components. Instead, choose to add only the custom view you created.
When adding the systemusers table, a dialog will appear with options to include various components (forms, views, fields, etc.).
Select only the custom view you created and deselect other components.
