Why Owner GUID is blank even though there is data there in power automate sandbox

I was running a flow that triggers when a contact record is selected, but when I try to get the owner id it seems to be blank so I tried to Get a Row by ID. It did get the Contact record but it has the owner id value missing. and sometimes either the selected flow has data and the get a Row was missing or vice versa. is there something wrong with my connection reference or AD directory?

and yes all the contact record I selected has owner field populated

am I missing something?

My guess would be that it’s because it’s a legacy connector some things are failing have not been updated as the platform has changed.

Does your view include the Owner as one of the columns? Perhaps it only sends data from the view columns and your views don’t always have it? Retrieving the record should have worked though so that’s still a mystery to me.

it may be easier to create a command bar button that opens a modal Custom Page that can then trigger your flow without the legacy connector. You might gets more consistent results then.

    Hi @Mark3Arman

Owner is a composite lookup column for both owninguser and owningteam. If the owner is an individual, try looking for owninguserid. Similarly, owningteamid if the record ia owned by a team instead.

I hope this information helps. Please give it a thumbs up if you appreciate my efforts and please accept it as a solution if my response helps you resolve your issue so that it can help others in similar situations.

    Kind regards

    Gulshan
