Hi all,
For a model-driven app I'm building, I wanted to customize the theme. Hence, I followed the steps provided in this Microsoft Learn article . I got to create the new theme, I published it, it was obviously noticeable in Dynamics 365, but, when I access my app, I see that no change occurred. Yes, I can see my company's logo on the header, but no color changed for any of the app components. Is anyone able to help with this?
Thanks in advance.
I can confirm that turning off the "Try new look" toggle is the culprit. I had some custom chart palette colors for some standard charts that weren't showing up and as soon as I turned off the toggle, they appeared.
What a pain!!
I turned off "try new look and feel" and otherwise just changed the theme colors in Dynamics 365 as usual. May have some other setting configured differently than you, but nothing comes to mind immediately.
I've noticed that I can't affect sandbox environment themes, only production.
He SwJ23, how did you manage the change the color of the bar? I think everyone in this tread is still dealing with the Power Apps Purple, regardless of the "new look and feel" being on or off.
Best, Thomas
Unfortunately I already have this disabled 😞
Disable the “try the new power apps” or some such similar setting, which does not work with themes yet.
disable this:
What change did you make to get the Nav Bar colour to change?
We are facing a similar issue where only the logo has updated and our client will not go live if the 'branding' is not correct.
Hi,
I have followed this topic, and also find myself in a similar poistion.
Does anyone have any information on whether there is a long term view of when Microsoft may allow theming of Model Driven Applications? e.g. Branding the colour theme, changing the header logo etc. This is primary to fit in with a corporate branding rather than the Purple Branding as of now.
This at least got the Nav Bar color to change. None of the other customizations take effect, but it looks good enough until Microsoft gets back around to this.
Good on you for noticing the fine print, thanks.
I have exactly the predicament as the OP, and have tried all steps above, including the toggle on/off of the "Try the new look and feel" option, but to no avail. I have cloned themes, created new themes and published them, all with a black Navigation bar (tried both #010000 and #000000) - but still the Office purple remains on the live "Play" of my app, but not on the designer and Admin settings everywhere else in the environment..
Anyone else discovered any niggles here that stop the Themes from applying to a Model Driven App?
