Can someone please explain how the redirect to another topic works on the return to the caller. I assumed execution would return to the next statement after the redirect, which occurs, BUT, after the last redirect call, processing jumps to the middle of a sequence of statements where there are unanswered questions. But those questions must not be answered because they were skipped with conditional statements, and I don't need those values. So in my understanding, returns do not seem to follow the usual stack as in programming languages? If there is documentation addressing this question, please point me to it. How can I get the bot to avoid this kind of redirection?
So I have trial license only -- does that qualify for support?
Of course I can re-code the solution so that there are no redirects, but that means that topics cannot be reused.
Any other ideas?
Chatbots created in the unified authoring canvas can be published, it's just that because it's still in preview, there is no production-level support for it.
I'm not entirely sure what is going on in your conversation. It might be best for troubleshooting to create a support request so a support engineer can get in touch with you: Get Help + Support in Power Platform - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
1. No, not using (I understood that I should use production to be able to publish/deploy the bot. Is that possible with preview already?)
2. I have attached 3 screenshots. I have the entire bot conversation in screenshots too, but that is over 11MB. You will see that the question to "perform an electronic survey" has a "no" answer. However, following the other screenshots back, the calling sequence jumps (returns) into the middle of the conversation at the left (which is the branch for true/yes). Why?
3. I can send the entire conversation to you, but via another channel please, or communicate via email.
Hi @tryPVA,
Are you using the new unified authoring canvas in preview?
Is it possible to get a couple of screenshots detailing your scenario?
