Power Apps project using Dataverse as datasource

(0) ShareShare

I'm about to begin a project using Dataverse as the back end. I normally use SharePoint but my client wants to use Dataverse.

Wondering what things I should be considering before starting the project?

Should I make use of the existing tables or is it better to define my own?

Any gotchas, advice or recommended resources/tutorials?

Thanks

    Hi @Digital ,

It looks like you want to use dataverse as a data source in canvas, right?

    For your question:

I suggest you create custom tables instead of pre-defined tables.

If you just want to use dataverse in canvas, it is similar to sp. Many of its components provide services for model driven. You don’t need to pay attention to them.

It should be noted that the lookup in the dataverse associates record(s) with record(s).

In sp, lookup column is just related to the value of a certain column.

    Best Regards,

    Wearsky

@v-xiaochen-msft , Thanks for the tips. Yes I'll be using Dataverse as the data source in canvas apps. I'm so used to SharePoint that it all seems a little daunting.
