Pass data from a webpage to the Copilot Agent

Hi,

My Copilot Agent has been added to a Dynamics 365 Customer Service Live Chat that's on a webpage.
I want to pass values from the webpage to the Agent.

I can't find any reliable documentation or examples of how to do this and I have tried both Chatgpt and Claude without any luck.

I thought it was just a case of:
1. Creating a Global variable that can be set by external sources
2. Adding this to the widget script:
contextVariables: {
Name: "Monty",

Email: "montytest@testing.com"
}

Does anyone have an example or point me in the right direction for doing this?

It seems straightforward, but appears not to be.

I have not looked into this so please forgive me as off the top of my head at 2 AM, my suggestion would be to create an HTTP Trigger in our agent, then use JavaScript to call it.
