Use Markdown files as Copilot Agent knowledge

Hello Community,

at the moment we're testing different scenarios with Copilot Agents.

For one UseCase we got some Markdown files for a Chat assist Agent.

We uploaded this Markdown files directly to the agent and the agents generated good answers to it.

Then we created a SharePoint Online site and library, for the reason the department can change the content by itself.

I removed the Markdown files from the agent and add them to the SPO Library.

I added the Library to the Agent knowledge and pusblished it.. But now the Agent can not generates answers to this data anymore.

Are Markdown files in SPO Library are supported or how you deal with that?

Can you please provide some screen shots of what you have setup.

Also, personally i have noticed and it could just be me, that when I add a file directly it works great, when I add that file to SharePoint it does not. Again it could just be us 2... but I see it a lot with simple excel files, PDFs and word documents.

however, I would ask, does anyone have a license so you can turn on Semantic search? Also can you verify the URL depth of the files in SharePoint?

Please try to keep file at depth 2. Mostly Agents didn't able to read file if kept under many different folder and subfolder Test by keeping it inside main folder.

If it helps then please like and verify the answer.

i made a SPO Documente Library and uploaded the .md files directly to this library without any folders..

In copilotstudio I added directly the URL to this Document Library:

When I'm testing the bots i receive with Sharepoint data really bad and short answers:

Left Site the markdown data in the SPO Library / Right site the data is attached directly to the agent..

This is really bad, because it would be great when the Agent can generate the same answers from SPO data or direct attached data...
