Hi,

Till very recently i was able to publish microsoft copilot studio agent for integration with Teams using my trial license.

However, am unable to do so and getting the following message -

There are open issues with your agent. You currently do not have a user license that allows you to publish in Copilot studio. Please contact your administrator to upgrade your license or enable to necessary permissions.

Can you please suggest if this is a microsoft change in their policy for trial license or the permission issue local to my tenant ?

Yes, this question has been asked a ton lately and my response is the same unfortunately, it's a change in their licensing requirements.

You would need to get a real license, and or you can certainly try to open a ticket with them to have them explain specifically the change they made that breaks everyone :-( but at this point I am unaware of any solution based on the specific reason it blocks people.

I had the same issue. I needed my client to sign me up with a Copilot Studio license so I could publish and update my agent that I could previously update just fine with my trial license.

So yes, something has changed but you'll need to speak to your admin and get a Microsoft Copilot Studio User License to publish you agent to teams going forward.

You can check this link for full details of Copilot Studio Licensing..

You would to go to the Admin Portal center

Sign in with your M365 login, then open a ticket there. It may very well ask you to go to the Power Platform Admin (since its Copilot) and it depends on the issue, to actually finalize your ticket.
