We are a big company. We already have basic licenses for all of Microsoft power platform and most of other microsoft tools. My question is that now I am trying to run a pilot project in one of our countries for Document automation using Document Automation Base Kit. Our 10 customer service agents receive the sales order pdfs in a common mailbox from our customers and we want to create a flow that captures the incoming emails, finds the pdf documents and extracts the relevant information out of those documents and (at a later stage) can send the extracted information to our ERP system (SAP) to create a sales order.
Questions:
1) Do we need premium power apps license or do we just need AI Builder credits? I am asking this as we already have power apps / power automate licenses (as i can see and use it for the cloud flows, not the desktop variants). If we are not using any premium connectors then maybe just AI builder credits will be sufficient or considering our use case do you think we should buy premium licenses.
2) Suppose that we buy premium licenses for 10 users. Now if we buy AI builder credits (500$/month for 10000 pages), are these credits shareable across 10 different user accounts or will these be only for one account? I mean if each user is processing 1000 pages a month then will each user be able to share these purchased credits?
3) It will be super nice if you can give us a rough estimation of total cost that we will have for our use case.

Hi @CharanjitJolly ,
I'll try to answer your questions:
1) As far as I know, premium licenses are not required but premium licenses offer you seeded AI credits. With your standard license, can you access AI Builder through cloud flows in trial mode?
2) The credits are available at the tenant level and can be assigned to any power platform environment of the tenant: all the users who can access an environment with assigned AI credits can consume them, given they have the appropriate rights.
3) You can use the AI Builder calculator or look at the Power Platform licensing guide to see the AI Builder burn rates. You can learn mode in this documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/ai-builder/credit-management#ai-builder-credit-consumption
Hope that helps!
